The S&P closed up 1.18% Thursday to end above 4,000 points for the first time in its history. The Nasdaq saw an even bigger gain of 1.76%, while the Dow was up 0.52%.
President Joe Biden has now seen all 3 stock indexes record gains since he took office. The Nasdaq is up by 0.17%, while the Dow and S&P have seen more significant rises.
Biden’s position relative to Barack Obama after 72 days of their presidencies sees his Nasdaq deficit reduced slightly from yesterday. However, his still-significant leads on the Dow and S&P have also reduced a little.
